Alexandra Rushworth

M.(Clinical Psychology; UNSW); B.A. (Psychology Honours; The University of Sydney)

Alex is a Clinical Psychologist with over 12 years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults in both public and private health settings. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales.

She previously worked for over 10 years at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in Sydney, where she provided psychological treatment and support to teenagers with chronic physical symptoms and co-occurring mental health difficulties, and their parents or carers. In this setting she also provided supervision to early career psychologists, and held a team leadership role.

Alex specialises in working with teenagers and young adults, and has particular interest and experience in helping those who are struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals navigate the challenges of the neurotypical built world, and takes a neurodiversity affirming approach. She is dedicated to providing a safe and calm environment for clients to explore, understand, and work through their experiences and concerns.

Alex also believes in the importance of providing gender-affirming care. Alex’s pronouns are she/her.
